VisionTrack racing headed to the picturesque circuit of Mugello for round eight of the MotoGP season. The team faced scorching temperatures for the sessions on Friday however the conditions changed dramatically on Saturday as thunderstorms began to roll in. Thankfully the Moto 3 sessions were held under dry conditions despite the dark clouds looming over head for the rest of the weekend.
After starting 27th on the grid Josh Whatley battled higher up the order eventually crossing the line in 21st place. Mugello is a notoriously difficult track to learn so it was a valuable weekend of experience for him.
“I really enjoyed this weekend, I felt like I made another step forward with my riding and I was able to get closer to the group in front. This track was a lot of fun to ride but I’m also looking forward to going back to Catalunya as I’ve raced there previously.”
